
The YCDI at a glance
The YCDI acts as the youth forum of the IDC-CDI, entitling its member parties to a platform for promoting young leaders in an international scale. As part of the mission of the IDC-CDI, the YCDI objective is to encourage political innovation within a united front of center political youth organizations adjoined by three key tenants: (1) The defense of democracy against authoritarianism, (2) The respect for multiculturalism, and (3) The empowerment of the political youth.

OUR CORE IDEAS

Defense of Democracy
Democracy is the best avenue for enacting political action, defending it is a moral responsibility of all YCDI members.
Strong institutions
Political parties must encourage strong institutions that protect citizen’s rights and property from arbitrariness.


Generational change
Generational change is key for any political organization. It must be sponsored actively through party statutes.
Liberty
Is a necessary condition for any legitimate democratic political process.


Good policy-making
Leaders must be good policy makers; member parties of the IDC-CDI must promote the effective leadership of their youth.
